The programme aims to bring together producers developing an African film project who want to collaborate on developing their skilss. During the workshop, they learn how to improve their entrepreneurial and leadership expertise, enhance their creative skills, and create a lasting and significant network.

The programme is aimed at 15 film producers :

- Producers (with and without project) from Africa

- Producers from outside Africa interested in co-producing with Africa.

All producers applying must have produced at least one feature film, series or documentary or at least two short films as a principal or co-producer.

Due to FOCAL’s partnership, one Swiss producer can participate.

The programme includes plenary sessions and group work, case studies and access to individual meetings with mentors and guest experts. The workshop includes project development, project planning, funding, legal issues, promotion and marketing, advocacy and lobbying, organisational development, network management and leadership.

The programme is organized in two modules:

Module 1 starts with an online session on 9 October 2023. The on-spot workshop will take place in Morocco during the Festival International du Film de Marrakech from 24 November to 02 December 2023.

Module 2 will take place in the Netherlands during the International Film Festival Rotterdam from 26 January to 2 February 2024.
