FIFDH Impact Day 2023 : Call for projects

Leading human rights film festival FIFDH launches its Impact Days 2023 call for projects.

Geneva, Switzerland is home to the UN Human Rights Council, the WHO, UNHCR, and hundreds of NGOs and philanthropists active in the human rights protection and advocacy. The city also hosts a leading event dedicated to film and human rights, the FIFDH. Its Impact Days industry programme focuses on the transformative change documentaries can bring to the world; it is dedicated to matching potential partners around common themes, for collaborative campaigning on urgent issues.

Through the programme you will be strategically connected with key players that have the financial means, contacts and on-the-ground resources to help your film maximise its impact and make a real difference.

Each year we :
- Select 16 strong documentary projects from around the world about urgent social or environmental issues.
- Help the selected teams craft a strong impact campaign through our Impact Lab (online on 19 & 20 January 2023).
- Connect the teams to dozens of NGOs, Institutions and philanthropists, in Geneva on 13 & 14 March 2023.

The best impact projects will receive prizes to help further their impact campaign.

Documentaries can be important tools to spark structural and behavioral change.

Whether you are looking to develop, or have already designed, an impact campaign around your film, if selected you will get expert support to improve your impact strategy and be connected to key partners to help finance it.

For the 2023 FIFDH Impact Days we are looking for bold documentary projects from around the world and at any stage of production. These should be driven by thoughtful and in-depth storytelling, bolstered by a compelling visual approach and have a clear vision of the impact they want to make.
